Saas 4000er Alpine week

Service Description

The valley of Saas lies in Switzerland just next to the o so famous valley that leads up to Zermatt and the Matterhorn. This is great because Saas is because of that a calm valley but with at least as much potential! It is fully surrounded by several 4000 meter peaks like the Weissmies, Lagginhorn, Alphubel, Rimpfischhorn and many more. And not to forget al the ´easy to forget´ peaks just under 4000 meter offering some fantastic (often more technical) climbing examples are: the Drei Hörnli, Jägihorn and Portjengrat. As you understand 5 days around here will just give a glimps of what there is to offer. Luckily with ski lifts and well located mountain huts approaches a shortened down significantly and some of the 4000 meter peaks can be climbed in a day from the valley thanks to this. This week is for you who is a experienced hiker has tried rock and or indoor climbing, maybe has done alpine climbing before and wants to take it out into the bigger mountains. To be able to make the most of it and adapt to your level we always have a 1:2 ratio when guiding. We ofcourse make use of IFMGA guides. This ensures a high safety level and a high succes rate for the weeks missions. The price is stated here is per person (based on 2 persons) and for the guiding only. Accomodation and transport, to and from Saas and within the valley is not included. There is a possibility to make the tour private for a extra fee, contact us dirrectly for that. The accomodation you pay as we go, this ensures the greatest flexibility. Ofcourse we will help you out when and where to book. Before the tour you will get a gear list sent to you. The best is to own most of the technical gear yourself so you can try it out at home. But there is a good possibility to rent boots, harness, helmet and crampons at the shops is the valley. It is always recommended to come to Saas (most likely Saas-grund) the day before the tour starts. This gives the possibility to get ready and if necesarry to meet up with the guide the evening before.
