Service Description

Come along and climb Norway's 3rd highest mountain and the highest mountain that requires climbing to get to the summit. The silhouette of the mountain is perhaps a little reminiscent of the Matterhorn and can be seen on a clear day from Turtagrö, the starting point of the tour. You meet the guide the day before (or have contact by phone). There you go through conditions and plans for the summit day. Either way, get ready for a long day out on the mountain. With 1,600 meters of altitude gain and 10-13 hours, good fitness and experience in mountain terrain is required. To get to the summit, scrambling and easy climbing will be required and if necessary we will use crampons (in case of snow and ice). You do not need to be a climber or have climbed before. But it is important that you do not have a fear of heights as we will pass through some airy passages. If you want, we can organize a half-day course the day before where we go over equipment and practice climbing and abseiling in preparation for the trip. The tour requires good conditions and weather. The guide decides the day before if there will be an attempt or if there will be an alternative tour organized. Even during the tour, the guide has the right to turn around for everyone's safety. The tour is carried out with a maximum of 2 guests per guide and the minimum age is 15 years (under 18, guardian's permission is required if they do not follow) Technical equipment can be borrowed (harness, helmet and crampons) and an equipment list is sent out before the tour. The price set is per group, you decide if you come by yourself or if you bring a second person along.
